Educational & Group Visits

The South Wales Aviation Museum is dedicated to promoting an appreciation for the fascinating world of aviation. As part of our commitment to education and community engagement, we warmly welcome visits from schools and external groups. We believe that through direct experience and exposure to historical aeroplanes, we can ignite a passion for aviation to inspire future generations.

To support this educational mission, we offer discounted rates for school groups and external organizations. These special rates ensure that students and group members can explore our extensive collection of aeroplanes, from vintage to modern jets, without financial barriers. Our knowledgeable guides, many of whom are former or current RAF members, veterans, and allied personnel, provide informative tours tailored to the age and interests of each group, making the visit both educational and enjoyable.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance do we need to book?

We can only host one group visit a week. Our group visit diary fills up quickly and our diary can be full for around eight weeks in advance,. There are occasionally exceptions to this.

To avoid disappointment, schools are advised to secure a booking before the term in which they would benefit from a SWAM visit.
