Volunteer

South Wales Aviation Museum cannot operate without the support and help of our volunteers, who provide the services and stories to our visitors during their free time.

What would I be able to do as a volunteer?

We have a wide range of volunteers at the museum from ex-service men and women to aircraft enthusiasts and people who just love the experience of looking after our visitors. We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities which include administration, aircraft maintenance, hangar maintenance, reception / gift shop, cafe and general weekend volunteers. Our volunteers are our pride and joy and without our volunteers we wouldn’t be able to open our doors to the public.

What have your volunteers done before?

Becoming a volunteer at SWAM opens an array of opportunities. Some of our volunteers have carried out radio and TV interviews and have also helped to transport aircraft from various locations around the UK. As we grow, the opportunities to experience new tasks are endless!
